Lea Marlene is the Artistic Director and Founder of Lea Marlene Actors Studio and The Namastage Theatre established in 2013. She specializes in the Meisner Technique, a two-year conservatory style training that gets actors and non-actors, out of their heads and into their hearts so they may be connected, compelling and authentic ion stage, on camera and in life.
It was after a battle with melanoma cancer in 2010 that made her pivot from being a professional stand-up comedian and actress to business owner. In her own healing journey she had developed a deep desire to pay forward the powerful tools that have saved her life. That has become her life mission.
With this calling to serve, she has helped many people book starring roles, launch lucrative creative businesses, live a life of passion and purpose as well as have healthy, life-giving relationships. She has produced and directed several shows, graduated numerous Meisner Technique classes, produced sold out play productions, stand-up comedy, film and theatre, both in Denver, CO, and Los Angeles, CA. She also served as a Casting Director and Co-Producer on the award-winning Independent Feature Film Small Town Remedies.
